Conquering the ... Sewing Machine

So I (Rachel) got this sewing machine last year for Christmas. Last week, I finally opened the box and used it!

It all started last Monday when Nik tells me he needs 12 little bean bags for the “Sugar Rush” aka Trunk-or-Treat event at church. I really didn’t want to make them, so I suggested buying them. We tried, but could not find them anywhere. So I agreed to make them, but only if we did it by hand because I didn’t want to spend the time to figure out how to work the stupid sewing machine. So on Tuesday I finished sewing one bean bag before I got frustrated and decided just to use the stupid machine. I then spent the next hour and a half figuring out how to thread the machine…but I eventually finished and made the rest of the bean bags quite quickly!

So now I feel quite accomplished and am thinking of ideas for my next project!

Alright…I need to go help find boxes for Nik’s transformer costume (don’t even ask....)
