Busy Weekend

I just found out my sister, Andrea has had a blog for forever and I never knew. I know, I'm a lame sister. Turns out she's a pretty good blogger. . . actually blogging more than once every two or three months! Inspiring...

Anyways, this weekend has been crazy. It was CBU's graduation, so there were grad get-togethers and some friends that Nik and I never get to see came to town! It was a lot of fun, but this would be the weekend that I lost my voice! By Saturday, I sounded so squeeky that I was annoyed hearing myself. But now my voice is back for the most part, which is good because I have to go to work tomorrow (I learned on Friday how hard it is to gather preschoolers together without a voice).

Last weekend I was sick of looking at our pathetic futon, so I decided to sew pillows. After spending an hour in JoAnn's walking around with tons of different fabrics (I have this problem with making decisions...I don't make them) I finally narrowed down which ones to use. Then when I sat down to use my sewing machine....I actually threaded the machine in under two hours! Which was an improvement from last Halloween. Anyways, now our futon has some color to it. It's no longer just beige. And apparently it's a little more comfortable...at least it appears Nik things so.

He fell asleep watching t.v. ...with the remote (or as the Laubscher's call it "channel box") still in his hand.
